Addlestone Webteam: December 2016
The children thrill their parents and friends at this years Nativity Play.
The Bear Hugs nursery, for 2 to 5 year olds, came to Addlestone in February 2015 when they hired our church hall from Tuesday to Friday during the school term. Since then they have demonstrated their skills with the children when the children enthralled their parents and friends in December 2015 with a Nativity Play and in July with their 'end of term' concert.
The children loved to play in the garden area beside the hall but inevitably the grass was unable to withstand the enthusiasm of the children. The problem was solved in June when the Bear Hugs received a grant from the local Tesco store to replace the existing grass area with Astro Turf — the effect is shown in the photo. The church is to provide an awning to provide shade for the children but also give the church the benefit of a useful area for special events.
